Helping organizers focus on the tournament

Cargotab was my service work around Tabbycat, providing deployment and DevOps solutions to make the open-source debating platform more usable for tournament organizers.

What is Tabbycat?

Tabbycat is open-source debating tournament tabulation software. It supports draw generation, adjudicator allocation, ballot and result collection, team standings and publication of tournament information across several debating formats.

Tabbycat was created and is maintained by its upstream community. My service work was about getting that software ready for use, not claiming authorship of the underlying platform.

The infrastructure side

A public workflow in my personal Tabbycat fork shows work on publishing a container image to GitHub Container Registry. That fork work is distinct from a contribution accepted into Tabbycat’s upstream repository.

Tabbycat is licensed under AGPL-3.0. The upstream project and its maintainers are credited in the links above.
